Being Part of a Worldwide Network

We have found that the relationships that God wants us to have with other Christians are discovered, not made. In other words we don’t force them or create them, but find them. We know that the body of Christ (another name for the worldwide Church) is bigger than any single community or congregation – it is a worldwide community of God’s people or nation on earth. And so we have established an important and meaningful relationship with a worldwide Christian network, with whom God has given us a special relationship.

We know that we cannot become all that God wants us to be, or complete the work He wants us to do, if we remain as a single isolated community. God meant churches to be interdependent and receive support, development and supervision from beyond themselves, from other groups and teams with giftings that individual communities do not possess. Our God given relationship is with Noel Woodroffe and through Noel, to Congress WBN - the network he founded and oversees. Many people from the UK haven’t heard of Congress WBN (or C-WBN for short) since Noel Woodroffe, and his home church – Elijah Centre – is based in Trinidad in the West Indies.

We believe God connected us with Noel as part of His plan for our church. Noel has the God-given ability, insight, wisdom and faith to build and strengthen the church. He has laid his life down to help, strengthen, encourage and train us. For us he functions as an apostle to our community, as apostles are very much alive and functioning today, just like in the New Testament. The connection between our church and the apostle is very personal, and built on relationship. He is a valued friend and spiritual father to our Elders as they lead New Horizons.
